If you’ve had semi-permanent makeup or cosmetic tattoo, and you are not 100% happy with the results it’s good to know you can do something about it.
Corrections come in all shapes and sizes, literally. There are 3 choices that you have when it comes to corrections. We can improve the shape and balance/symmetry using camouflage techniques, change the color, and alter the depth of the color, making it lighter or darker.
Often when clients come to us with corrections, they need simple, minor adjustments. Nevertheless these simple changes will make a real difference to the look and feel of the eyebrows. You may only need to soften the color and adjust the balance with a few hairs here or there.
Having said that, we also have clients who come to us looking for a significant correction. As a semi-permanent makeup specialist, I am very particular about the corrections that I am willing to do. I will only take on a correction procedure if I truly think I can make a difference and give my client the results she desires.
There are a variety of techniques I employ, including shading, feathering, embroidery, individual hair strokes, and of course camouflage where we use skin or flesh toned pigments as we aim to re-shape. With these flesh colored pigments we can soften color and change the shape by removing unwanted ends, bends or width, often at a micro level. Remember tiny changes make a huge difference. Sometimes it is a matter of a hair or two that changes the entire balance of a brow.
So the good news is, it is possible to reshape semi-permanent makeup eyebrows. Sometimes it will take more than one session to get the perfect level that the client is looking for, but of course, sometimes, it can be a far quicker solution where a few small changes make a big difference.
I always recommend to come in for an assessment to see if correction techniques are a good option for your specific needs.
